Today, I am pairing the 14th dram from the Cask Explorer’s 2022 Advent Calendar (Emerald Edition), which is The Naked Grouse blended malt, with the Monkey Shoulder, another blended malt from my collection.
Today, I am picking out two bottles from my personal collection because I’m curious to see which one I will actually like more. Jura has been a long-time favourite, but anCnoc is quickly gaining steam. Let’s see what we find!
Up for a tasting today is the 13th dram from That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) Advent Calendar of 2022, and it’s a 9-year-old Blair Athol bottled at 50.4% ABV. I pair it with a 12-year-old Oban from Diageo Special Releases of 2021, bottled at a cask strength of 56.2%
